This isn’t it all. This is just a really early version. Later I added a plug for speakers and changed the back light to a cool RED!

Alarm Clock Hacking

Okay I've been writing this post but have lost it 3 freaking times due to the back button and other stuff. So let me just put it like this.

1. I built a POE alram clock http://w3irdguy7.blogspot.com/2005/07/etherclock.html
2. I got a new bed
3. I can't wake up anymore in a decent amount of time
4. Must fix that

I've made some work on it but blogger is hating me right now so I'll wait to post pics

Vista...

I made this post on [H] yesterday about vista and thought I should share it..

Well after a long talk with a neweeg person I finally understand this and thought I should make a post on here about it.

Newegg has been selling vista coupons with windows XP lately. Like this home OEM here
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16832116169

Now this is how I was confused, this is only
Microsoft Windows XP Home Sp2b 1pk w/Upgrade Coupon for Vista - OEM

Notice the bold on coupon, yes it does not mean a free vista upgrade.
But on the outside it says

Still does not mean free vista, just free coupon...

Now lets look at Pro OEM
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16832116179

Says the same thing
Microsoft Windows XP Home Sp2b 1pk w/Upgrade Coupon for Vista - OEM

Problem with this last one though, it IS a free vista upgrade...

...Plus $20 shipping

This image seems to clear everything up...
http://promotions.newegg.com/microsoft/vista/TechGuarn.html

..NOT!

As you would expect, there are TWO websites for redeeming these coupons.
The one written on the coupon is
http://upgradeweb.moduslink.com/vista

But the one newegg links to in other places is
http://www.microsoft.com/athome/techguarantee/northamerica.mspx

Using this website, you can use your XP code to get a FREE (plus $20 shipping...) windows vista home basic.

Wow

SO lets see, with this coupon for home premium you get when buying home you are offered to buy it for "Only $79!!!!111", but lets add $20 shipping. Now It's more like "only $99!!!111"

But full vista [read, not upgrade like with this coupon] is only around $130 on froogle.

All these feelings make me feel like I'm really buying a Microsoft product!

Seems fit to post some pictures of my computer, being as I haven't updated in awhile
I bought an antec lanboy case for like $40 from [H] and what can I say...IT PWNS! :P

It must look something like this now..

More pics later

*stretches arms & yawns* well...

It looks like I finally decided to pick this blog back up. Expect a new hack soon.
I've done a lot in the last year. Even went to AGlan once!

New Project

Well, lately I've been looking at a product called a Digital satellite.

but.....It's $50. A rip off for a hub and a power strip. I decided it would be cheaper to make my own. I plan to have firewire, too. It will probally just be a box, rather then some fancy circle.
